I will be the first to admit I do not like the way square enix has handled dlc in the past. However, looking forward to the future I can't help but get excited about the potential for FF7 REMAKE dlc.

Now I know, how are we talking about dlc when the game hasn't even released yet.

Well its not exactly uncommon for dlc to be talked about or even detailed prior to the release of a game.

Now with FF7 Remake, I like to think that while the game will have a ton of content packed in. There is room for dlc if done correctly.

So what am i saying? That i know how to make the perfect dlc?

Not exactly. But, I have an idea for how we can keep the fans busy while waiting for FF7 Remake Part 2...

Aside from all the content packed into the base game. I can see Square Enix potentially doing some extra content.

Almost like the episodes they developed for Final Fantasy XV. Now I am not saying they will make the same mistake as they did with FFXV and putting very important story locked behind dlc that almost makes the base games narrative incoherent.

Rather I am saying they could expand upon some stories that are almost spinoffs from the original.

For example Origin of Avalanche DLC. Where we play as barret and experience the rise of avalanche and how each member came to join.

Episode Barret How barret came to midgar and his journey with marlene into the big city

Episode Tifa How tifa came to Midgar and opened her bar. Why she journeyed to midgar and when this took place. This could have us take control of TIFA in this episode.

Episode Aerith detailing her experiences from childhood up until she meets cloud. Giving us insight to her challenges that she endured throughout the Turks hunt for her.

And finally

Episode Red XIII or Nanaki How he ended up in midgar and trapped in the grasps of hojo. Only to become an experiment. I mean lets be honest Cosmo Canyon isn't exactly accross the street from midgar.

This is just me spit balling off the top of my head for all the potential this game has for DLC. If they were to release decent sized dlc every 6 months within 2 years time we would not only have kept ourselves immersed in the world of FF7 but also be very close to the uprise of the next Chapter of the FF7 Remake.

This to me is the perfect execution when trying to keep the FF7 Remake Hype going even after the first game ends. As we know the wait between games can be long and grueling. SO with all this dlc to experience it will allow for a more entertaining wait and have us still engaged during the break between games.
