This is one of the more artistically-unique GZDoom-based games I've seen. It draws inspiration from 90s run'n'gun shooters; meanwhile I get huge Genesis-era Sonic vibes from both the music and graphics.

Rather than having a permanent arsenal, you have a base pistol (which needs to reload after several shots), and can pick up various weapon powerups which give you finite ammunition before reverting back to the base weapon.

The level design gets pretty interesting: the two harder difficulties have completely different arrangements than the lower two, not just in terms of enemies, but in key item placement, and even which doors are locked, which can result in quite a different experience from lower difficulties to higher ones. In addition, the end-level stats give you a rank based on how well you did, and there's an additional challenges "grid" that fills in squares based on various conditions to unlock extras, so there's plenty of replayability if you enjoy the gameplay.

Snap can get a little hard on the eyes; I might not have even played the demo if I hadn't found an option to reduce screen flashes (which reduces their opacity but doesn't eliminate them). I'd like to see options to eliminate muzzle flashes completely and reduce enemy hit flashes. It might also be nice to have an option to make your own bullets semitransparent - in some cases, especially with spreadshot, they can end up completely obscuring incoming enemy bullets so you won't end up seeing them until too late.
