Inspired by the Reading Gamebow group's Team Reading, I am replaying Doom 64 on ultra hard settings. What is ultra hard you may ask? Further inspired by Decino's Doom 64 play through, it is "Watch Me Die" difficulty with pistol starts, fast monsters, and no mid-level loading. This map, also known as "Terror Core", was one of the most challenging yet! It had a battle which combined imps, lost souls, and spectres with not much cover. I died many times here as a lost soul would attack me from behind while I was fending off a spectre. This is the first time lost souls truly gave me trouble! After that battle, the rest of the map wasn't too difficult.
