I can't believe i'm going to say this but, despite it being somewhat slaughtery in terms of gameplay, I actually didn't enjoy the map as much as I thought I would. Speedrunning this only burned up my dislike for this map even more, which is a shame. Solely because you need really good infighting rng to even have a chance of getting a good time. All the other stuff you could do super slowly and still get a decent finish time with infighting.
The start is traditional ribbiks. Claustrophobic arena, lack of ammo and a fair amount of monsters. The trick for me was to kill the fodder enemies on the bottom so cleaning up wouldn't take as long. That's why I plasma the pinkies and then ssg the imps after to hit the switch. Honestly you could quite possibly reroute this without plasma and just have a good amount of rockets for the final fight. The cells are pretty unnecessary for the most part.
When you climb to the cyberdemon part, and open the goatlock, a massive flux of enemies will flood the arena. This can get extremely overwhelming no matter how you play it. There have been attempts where i've gotten lucky, but a lot of my deaths seemed to be from revenants and pinkies coming from the other side, blocking my movement and ultimately zapping my health away within seconds. Here I quickly tried to get to the switch that raises the platform to telefrag the cyber. Didn't have great luck with pain elementals and the arch vile, as it tried zapping me when I was rocketing it.
I got very lucky with infighting, as you could see from the monster count completely depleting itself throughout the sequence. It led me to having a lot more rockets than expected, which is a massive plus. The cleanup poses no threat most of the time.
Then comes the green cyber. I kid you not, I died to this thing several times, and each time was soul crushing. I don't know how, I was just extremely stupid when it came to dodging rockets.
The final fight looks threatening, putting you up against 3 afrits, but it's honestly not that bad at all. If you lure them all out, you can rocket them (which is OP against the afrits) and easily kill them before the lift lowers fully. I played it safe here due to my nerves being through the roof, so I used the rest of the rockets I had. The baron at the end isn't worth mentioning.
This map has a pretty cool premise, but I feel like speedrunning it has kinda ruined it for me. There's a chance i'll come back to this map in the future, likewise with the previous map, to try and flesh out the time to be more perfect than it is at this moment.
I think the RNG fest maps are mostly done, and it'll hopefully be onto a much stricter experience.
