Doom Wads/Mods #403:TNT Resistance
0https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/s-u/tntresist TNT Evilution still knocks my socks off because of it's usage of more believable techbase textures and themes than Doom II did, It's had it's controversy yeah because of the fact it was going to be paid rather than free, It has aged poorly in some areas yes but it still is a piece of Doom history to me and I'm sure a lot more people.
This is a interesting wad here, a 8 level replacement for Evilution which goes back to 2016 and was fully released on December 20th 2017, A all star group of mappers:Alfonzo, AD_79, Michael Jan Krizik (valkiriforce), Joe-ilya, and Scotty, dt_ to make this level set. There's no story really to Resistance, It seems to be however a what if in between the 2nd part of Episode 1 and the first map of Episode 2 in TNT Evilution.
This wad is not easy by any means, It feels like TNT but with the burning sensation and cuts you get from Plutonia Experiment and (to me) what feels like influence from Scythe II, The ammo placement will require you to use it carefully or non berserk punch the mid tier enemies, 2nd map I'm still stuck on as Ammo puzzles aren't exactly my best experience, It's a shame it's only 8 maps but any love for TNT Evilution I like to see.
