0https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/p-r/preacher As I've said before, Resident Evil and Silent Hill were the first games I played that were made in the genre named Horror, These two games scarred me mentally and physically at times with their unpredictable enemy a.i. and somewhat rough at the time but still sinister graphics, It's a shame that horror mods that deliver aren't as good, But this file is a exception, It was given a winner spot at the 2018 cacoawards, but this isn't surprising as the author, Darch also released Pirate Doom 5 years ago and it got a cacoaward too.
Preacher was released in December 2018, It's a 10 level wad that puts us in control of a mad preacher (who uses the Blood Cultist as a picture) hearing voices, commanding him to kill and eliminate the evil of the world, This journey will send us through a nightmarish world of hell and maniacal laughter/haunting spooks, in a wad that I actually did get the chills from playing at night when it was thunderstorming earlier in the summer.
Our main weapon is the Tommy Gun which replaces the Chaingun, It's decent, does the same damage as the chaingun but bullets run out so fast in Preacher, The wad is quite tough as there's never really a emphasis on where need to go and running around while being peppered by former human ghouls and spooky skeleton boys was getting tiring, I enjoy it's premise.. perhaps I'll finish it one day.
