https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/megawads/wos It's been 3 years since I started this series and with 350 episodes to it's name, and another 50 on the way for Season #12, I can't help but feel like It's taken off like a storm like my Half-Life mods and other series' I have on here. And I see no end to the road ahead, I want to keep it going for the viewers and subscribers out there.

This megawad was a winner at the 2009 Caocawards and is by two of the most prolific mappers of the Doom Community:Paul Corfiatis and Kristian Aro with both also writing and composing the soundtrack to Whisper of Satan, The megawad's story is similar to Doom II but written from a different point of view and somewhat reflected on the distant future.

One elephant in the room is that Whispers of Satan does have some repeated or similar parts in its 32 maps, and that does weigh on its score as Paul and Kristian had stated previously that this would be their last work overall for the Doom Community and perhaps.. the maps reflect on this as the last episode seems to hugely compose of map sequences from the first episode, Music is alright though there are a few questionable choices.

[[Across 3 years, I've found a few wads that I once liked to be sort of bland or not as special as I once thought, and while Whispers of Satan does have work to its name, I think its a weak winner of a cacoaward that only does hold a pass because it pieces Doom II's story together in a different way and I'm a person who likes to see fresh takes on the Doom II storyline from PWAD perspectives.

I should mention too that WoS also, like other wads worked on by Paul, has some bonus maps and warp only maps that can only be reached via the MAP command in the sourceport console, and of them is one that references one of the top 10 infamous wads named "Imp Encounter" and that.. That was a crude surprise. It's decent this megawad though without mods it feels like a chore]]
