Doorways 4: Holy Mountains of Flesh on Linux [Native] (AMD Radeon Catalyst fglrx)
Today I'll show you how looks and works another native Linux game - Doorways 4: Holy Mountains of Flesh.
Doorways 4: Holy Mountains of Flesh is last part of Doorways series. First game have chapter 1 and two, seconds parts is called Doorways: Underworld and now we have also chapter 4.
All Doorways game use Unity engine. Doorways 1,2 and Underworld use Unity 4 but last Holy Mountains of Flesh is building in Unity 5. All previous games have native Windows, Mac OSX and Linux / SteamOS version. Doorways 4 is for now in Steam Early Access and it was released for Windows, and only a few days ago hit on Linux / SteamOS. Still missing version for Mac OSX. For now it is not released.
Now I check what new in Doorways 4 and look at first Linux build. I play also in previous chapters but I don't records it yet, maybe I do this in future.
Doorways is adventure game with horror atmosphere like we have in Amnesia series, Phenumbra, Soma or Outlast.

From the author:
Game despite the use of engine Unity engine works very well on Linux. Unfortunately, on my hardware game performance is poor. I have to play on the graphisc options at LOW or even LOWEST to keep a smooth gameplay.
Sadly setting, highest, high or even medium mean that the game is almost unplayable as it provides only 2-5 FPS.
This somewhat surprising me, however, serve as the creator of the hardware requirements for the game on Linux / SteamOS are much higher than for Windows ... I hope that it will be fixed in future.
