Today I'll show you how looks and works another native Linux game - Sanctum 2.

Sanctum 2 is well-received sequel Sanctum 1 - known widely as the first hybrid tower defense game and FPS. In Sanctum 2 we have the same schema of play, and we create defensive walls and put towers (we need buying it) attacking the enemy, so that we can stop wave after wave of the enemy. Of course it's not all so we ourselves also on the battlefield with weapons and play in view of the level of FPS.

Sanctum 2 is build on Unreal Engine 3 and support Windows and also some time after release Mac OS X and Linux / SteamOS.
Sequel like first part of series is developed and published by Coffee Stain Studios. It is worth mentioning that the port games to Linux and Mac made Ryan "Icculus" Gordon.

From the author:

I get this game on Steam months ago and spent many hours with it, successful and funny. This game works well on Linux (on my Linux Machine). Performance is good (as UE3) even on my AMD Phenom II X6 and also old Radeon HD 5850. I can mention, I play sometimes ago on Athlon II X2 240 and performance is also good but a little worse than on Phenom.

A good feature of the game is planning, logical elements, a combination of tower defense game FPS and of course good graphics.

On the downside include some empty multiplayer mode.

My PC Spec:
System: Linux Mageia 5 x64 KDE4
Kernel: Linux 4.1.8 x64
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 3 GHz
Graphics Card: AMD ATI Radeon HD 5850 with Catalyst 15.9 fglrx
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Hard Drive: 500 GB Seagate HDD
Monitor and resolution Iiyama Prolite 1680x1050p
Mouse: Roccat Kone + driver for Linux
Recorder: SimpleScreenRecorder 0.3.3 (OpenGL record mode)
