Heroes of Newerth HON - Forest of Caldavar full match on Linux [Native] (AMD Radeon Catalyst)
6Today I'll show you how looks and works native Linux game - Heroes of Newerth, also calles as HON.
HON is free to play (f2p) MOBA game like Dota 2 or Leaguge of Legends (LOL) but in my opinion much better, faster, harder, and much darker.
HON is develop by S2 Games but few months ago, S2 Games, allotment from his studios of workers engaged in the development so far HON and formed them into a new affiliate-studio called Frostburn Studios.
It is worth mentioning that the game Heroes of Newerth for a very long supported multiplatfom, so it is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux in both x86 and x64 (for Linux only).
As you can see I make some time ago old video from Heroes of Newerth in which I played with bots. This old video is also from time when S2 Games still develop HON.
Now I make new video to show what happened since that time HON changed. So I play normal match, unranked but normal with live people. I pick classic mode - Forests of Caldavar (5v5).
From last time, In game we have few new things.
- improved performance
- faster loading times
- changing courier mode
* At the beginning of the game courier works like Dota. With that same not bought it at the beginning, because it was purchased by default for each team. You can readjustments to a flying courier. And when he was killed, he not reborn as Dota2, and had to buy it again.
Now, this system was changed to pattern the game Strife ... where each of the characters received personal courier at the start and it is impossible to kill.
- new game mode
* New styles of play change from time to time, recently it was a "capture the flag", then "Devo Wars," and now (12/05/2015) is the "Grim Crossing".
Of course, these maps are optional and are in addition to the standard two maps: Forest of Caldavar and Mid Wars.

HON works well on my Linux pc, even on my AMD GPU, but in this video I want to show how this game works now, and works fine, with the exception of a few bugs in version 3.7.14.2, which fortunately have already been repaired - the day after the recording of this video ... Sorry.
The errors were:
- Disconnecting from the network at the time of submission game by opponent
- Lack of options all pick, replaced with blind ban (still not fixed)
- After selecting characters and loading the game, instead of the background is a square sulfates, which did not look good.
In coming days I upload new videos, with new game mode, Mid Wars or Grimm Crossing.
