The Hauntings questline is a series of interconnected side quests involving the investigation and elimination of malevolent spirits across various regions. These quests are initiated by interacting with Myrna and Vorgoth in the Necropolis Halls.
1. Hauntings: Deathly Curiosity
Location: Necropolis Halls
Objective: Defeat the corrupted spirit, Burgeoning Malice, in the Spectral Court.
Tips: Utilize Necrotic damage to exploit the spirit's weakness.
Rewards: 400 Gold, Knight's Sword (Warrior only), +250 Mourn Watch Strength
2. Hauntings: Restless Dreams
Location: Arlathan Forest
Objective: Eliminate the Nocturnix haunting near the wolf statue west of the Beacon.
Tips: The Nocturnix is weak to Necrotic damage and resistant to Cold. Ranged attacks are effective in depleting its barrier.
Rewards: 400 Gold, Seafarer's Cutlass Appearance, +250 Mourn Watch Strength
3. Hauntings: From Beyond
Location: Necropolis Halls
Objective: Confront and defeat The Lost Explorer, a hostile undead Mourn Watcher.
Tips: The Lost Explorer is vulnerable to Necrotic damage and resistant to Cold.
Rewards: 400 Gold, Smiling Visage (loot drop), +250 Mourn Watch Strength
4. Hauntings: Shadows of Fortune
Location: Minrathous
Objective: Investigate and neutralize the haunting affecting the city's fortune district.
5. Hauntings: Feeling Scared?
Location: Hossberg Wetlands
Objective: Defeat the Scarecrow, a possessed figure terrorizing the wetlands.
Tips: The Scarecrow is weak to Fire and resistant to Cold. It summons spirits during combat; focus attacks on the Scarecrow to end the fight efficiently.
Rewards: 400 Gold, +250 Mourn Watch Strength, increased bond with current companions
6. Hauntings: Deadly Playtime
Location: Dock Town
Objective: Eliminate the malignant spirit possessing a candlehop in Dock Town.
Tips: Engage the possessed entity in combat, utilizing appropriate damage types to overcome its defenses.
