Dragon Quest V (SNES) Tag Team Live Stream (Part 1)!
46This is the NINTH iteration of the Tag Team Live Stream! And this time, we're playing Dragon Quest V for the SNES. Published by Enix before it became Square Enix.
The Nintendo DS release was titled Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride, so I'm just going to assume I can call this one the same, since the DS version was basically just a remake (with some added content). Furthermore, this translation patch is from like 2002 by DeJap Translations.
But hey, I'm always psyched to get back into the TTLS groove and I'm SURE YOU ARE TOO. I've never fully played through Dragon Quest V so this might be AMAZING.
Oh? What's the TTLS, you're asking quietly to yourself? Well allow me to explain! The TTLS - or Tag Team Live Stream - works as follows. Me and my YouTube tag team partner MegaHarv (aka The Canadian Clothesline) will play alternating, hour-long streams of Dragon Quest V. So in this instance I will play the first hour. At the end of my hour, I will save the game and send the save file to MegaHarv, who will pick up from where I left off and stream for another hour, save, then send me his subsequent save file.
This process continues until we finish the game. The catch, though, is that we are not allowed to watch each other's TTLS streams, so we never know where the last person left off. So in every TTLS stream after part 1, we will have no idea where we will be starting from, especially since I don't think either of us are familiar with this game.
