This is the Duke Nukem Forever 2001 leak with 3D spatial sound through DSOAL. Really, this needs no introduction. May 10th, 2022 will go down in gaming history as a landmark event.

Just about every Unreal Engine 1 game supported 3D audio, and DNF is no exception. It uses the Miles Sound System middleware. I had to register the .exe first with Creative ALchemy, but then it worked just fine after that with DSOAL. The sound engine is a bit flawed, but I'm not surprised given the state of this prototype. The three oddest bugs are:

1. The y-axis seems to be inverted, noticable at 0:30 and with the rain that starts playing at 2:40.
2. Crouching and walking through metal vents like at 8:50 causes weird things to happen to positional sound.
3. Too many positional sounds playing at once will cause weird audio skips, noticable at 12:55 and 24:03.

I do apologize for losing my patience at the Buffet tripmine part and using Ghost. Thanks to all the modders who helped get this game to the playable state it's in, especially Meowth for the music fix, Sgt. Headcrab for the Study fix, and Xinerki for the framerate speedup fix.
