EGG Elemental Gimmick Gear - Sega Dreamcast - Intro & first dungeon gameplay with boss [1080p 60fps]
One of the best US games not to get a European release, Elemental Gimmick Gear is a live action RPG much like Zelda and Shining Wisdom. You play a man known as the sleeper who awakes after being asleep for thousands of years, your awaking is triggered by the activation of an ancient ruin. With no memory of the events of the past the sleeper must discover who he is and why he has awoken, but it quickly becomes clear he has a deep connection with the ruins of Fogna.
The title EGG come from the mechs you right around in which resemble the shape of an Egg. Graphically as an early Dreamcast game Elemental Gimmick Gear looks more like a PS1 or Saturn title and in all likelihood the game started development on another format. For the most part the game uses beautifully drawn 2D visuals, however, for the big boss battles the combat goes into a 3D graphics engine. A decent action RPG the game suffers from a few flaws, but on the whole Elemental Gimmick Gear is a balanced game with a good mix of puzzles and combat. The English translation suffers from being very rough in places with a lot of the dialogue being badly translated.
Slight note on the video the brightness is adjusted a few minutes into the intro as it was a little too bright at the start, note the audio dialogue volume in the intro is very quiet and this is a bug with the game itself, so turn up your speakers. If you want to skip straight to the gameplay go to 12:00 in the video.
