The project's latest development snapshot is Elive 3.8.20 Beta which includes an updated Linux kernel, live mode USB persistence, and fixes an issue related to detecting time zones. "This new version includes: kernel updated to the version 5.10 with some fixes for building extra modules like NVIDIA; desktop fonts much improved for dynamic sizing; persistence with many improvements for saving sessions in Live mode (USB); Cinelerra gg from our own build always updated to their last releases; cairo-dock switched by default to software based rendering for stability and performance; timezones: fixed some issues detecting your timezone; E16 desktop includes some fixes like the iconify gadget to stay in the same location among restarts, and the systray gadget showing correctly the icons.

Elive developers have announced a new snapshot of the next version of their distribution, Elive 3.8.20 Beta. Check out the news and find out where to download the distro.
Elive, or Enlightenment live CD, is a Debian-based Linux desktop distribution and live CD with the Enlightenment window manager.
In addition to being pre-configured and ready for daily use on desktops, it also includes “Elpanel” - a control center for easy administration of systems and desktops.
In fact, simplicity and intuitiveness are one of the best points of this distro.
The menu is accessible from any point on the desktop instead of being in a single location, icons grow when you pass over them, there is a pager where you can have your windows better organized than in the classic minimized mode, you you can customize it to look any way imaginable.
Elive provides animated elements as a background, icons, widgets and even the terminal.
In addition, your desktop can have 3D effects, without the need for an accelerated graphics card.
But best of all, it can also work on your older computer. So, how many systems do you know that can do all of this?
The project has now launched a new snapshot of the next version of its distribution, Elive 3.8.20 Beta.
What's new in Elive 3.8.20 Beta
Elive 3.8.20 Beta includes an updated Linux kernel, USB persistence in live mode and corrects an issue related to the detection of time zones.
This new version includes:
kernel updated to version 5.10 with some corrections for building extra modules like NVIDIA;
greatly enhanced desktop fonts for dynamic scaling;
persistence with many improvements to save sessions in Live mode (USB);
Cinelerra gg of our own construction always updated for its latest releases;
cairo-dock changed by default to software-based rendering for stability and performance;
time zones: fixed some time zone detection problems;
The E16 workspace includes some fixes, such as the iconify gadget to stay in the same place between reboots and the system tray gadget showing the icons correctly.
