Everything isn't a game! It's... simply EVERYTHING!
Behind Everything is the Irish artist and animator David O'Reilly, a name worth remembering if you're into the weird intersections between art, games, and philosophy. O'Reilly isn't a traditional game developer, but calls himself a so-called filmmaker. Among other things, he worked on the futuristic video game in Spike Jonze's film Her and made a name for himself with surreal short films like Please Say Something and The External World. His first non-game was Mountain, a meditative experience in which you literally observe a mountain for 50 hours. Everything is a logical extension of this idea, but this time with a playful interface that allows you to slip into the role of everything that crawls and flies across this earth-potato and far beyond.
The voice of British philosopher Alan Watts plays a crucial role. He was known for bringing Eastern traditions of thought such as Zen and Taoism to the West. But not in the form of dry lectures, but as entertaining, sometimes witty, yet profound conversations about the big questions that matter to the world.
