Hey, everyone.

I suppose this video is a perfect illustration of how something that is rushed (whether to meet some sort of deadline or otherwise) can never truly be as great as it could be if time was taken with it. I digress, however, at least it's a lesson well learned.

To be honest, the production process of this video has been quite messy, to say the least. Originally having been scheduled for a Christmas release, the video was supposed to be edited by someone else so something new could be put in, but they had to bail out due to school matters. With college being what it is, I didn't have too much of a want to work on it, either, but having decided that I cannot close the year without a video on either 31st or New Year's Eve, I decided to end this decade (or start the new one) with one, and thus, this video was born.

This is probably the first time ever where I feel much more satisfied with the combos than the overall editing, in which I feel myself to be stuck in a double-edged sword, since on one hand, I do think some editing does make the video that more enjoyable to watch, but on the other hand, going too fancy or overkill is nothing but a turn-off for many. Likewise, I'm nowhere on the level of the much more refined editors, so I had to stick to what I was able to pull off.

The fact that I wasn't able to get clips for transitions doesn't help, either (since FighterZ' opening has nothing like BB to use, and ripping too much from the anime of the respective games is not a good thing, either [here I am hoping that little from AIR is alright!]), but I did make by with what was available.

Recurring viewers might notice a newcomer in the lineup in the form of Eternal Fighter Zero. There won't be many more videos of that game, if at all, since on my end, I can't perform the extremely advanced stuff that there is in other combo videos, and I cannot find new ones on my end either (there's some neat stuff like Ikumi clone setup combos but I prefer not to have combos with extremely elaborate, in-matches-unusable setups, nor copy too much from others' videos), but I can try including it some more on request. Basically, Power scaling dictates untech time scaling, and Power can be increased by doing what's called a "blue instant charge" (contained in the meter below the bigger one). Even with that in mind, the combos are mostly normal-centric and one dimensional : due to low untech times of specials, high recoveries or unusable launch arcs, there is nowhere as much variety (in my opinion) as there is in the likes of BB, NPB or DBFZ.

Obviously, Eternal Fighter Zero was the main spotlight here, but I managed to put in some DBFZ combos as well. In the end, I've grown to like how much potential there is with a full team, though I still think that solo variety is a bit lacking. Nonetheless, I had a blast working with it (if not for the songs' lengths, there might have been more DBFZ combos added), and it'll surely be featured in future videos.

If I had to say highlights, let's leave it at that the Rachel combo was probably the wackiest of them all, but inputting the Final Memory (low health level 3) super for Ikumi's second combo was an intense challenge as well (there's little time to input 236236236C from a landing j.C and even then, it hit on what must have been the last few untech frames : basically, the timing on this route was one of, if not flat out the hardest things for me to do so far).

I didn't think much about it at first, but it's worth mentioning that for the Beerus combo, with some more optimizations done, the combo could likely have been a TOD, and that I could have included the Kaioken Finish and then go for UI's Level 3; however, the goal for that combo was to show the tracking for the ground version of said super, and how neatly it transitions from Kaioken 2S, hence the route shown.

The songs used are :
Mushimesama Futari Stage 2 - Furthermore, Cross the Desert Too
Nana Mizuki - Eternal Blaze

The clips at the beginning of the transition to the second song are from AIR and Battle Fantasia, respectively (I felt it'd be fitting to include the former since Eternal Fighter Zero features characters from ONE, Kanon and AIR).

I hope you guys enjoy(ed) the video even with its faults. Wishing everyone to stay safe and a Happy New Year!
