We spent a day exploring the Jake Mines which are spread out over a couple low mountains and canyons in the desert. The biggest mine is a three-level mine high up on a mountain. It features an ore bin/tram station outside the lowest portal. We also explored a nearby 1200-foot mine tunnel, a large ore chute perched on a hillside at another mine site, an old miner's cabin that was dug into the hillside, and an unusual brick kiln or furnace located outside another mine at the Jake Mines complex.
