Tweaks centered on gearbox swaps.

Previously, alterations to teams' homologated gearboxes were only permitted "to remedy reliability concerns" or "to save money at the start of each season."

changes are now authorized "in the case of materials, processes or proprietary parts becoming unavailable".

Nonetheless, in all circumstances, adequate documentation justifying the modification must be supplied.

Prior authorisation from the FIA is required, and the alteration must not provide any performance advantage.

The FIA will next distribute a summary of the change to all teams.
