(Factorio 12) Vulcanus Arrival And Space Ship Blues (Backlogging 65)

Yeah, learning my ship has some design problems that probably need to be addressed sooner rather than later. At least it works. Who would've thought the best way to get to other planets would be to go to an all you can eat sushi buffet. Maybe I shouldn't be ON the experimental space ship that may or may not work, heading to a planet with no way back. Hmm...
Vulcanus is lovely this time of year. It seems we have extremely easy access to steam power, and pollution isn't a problem, which is quite nice. Solar power is also very strong here with it's proximity to the sun. There's a lot of fluid mechanics happening here, and you'll see more as I progress through Vulcanus in the following videos, but I did make it to the planet in one piece. Definitely need to fine tune some of the sushi belts and inputs/outputs, though the ship will do for the time being. Not bad for a first attempt at a space ship in a Factorio DLC I'm going into almost entirely blind.
Kind of makes me curious if there could even be other DLC for Factorio, and what they would include. Maybe different types of planets to start on with their own recipes or raw to intermediate materials, kind of like Seablock. Maybe add extra exploration to earlier planets like Nauvis having an un-crossable ocean until you bring science back from a later planet or the shattered system with new ores, enemies, and challenges to overcome. They could just be side-LDCs too where Space Age is Factorio going to space, but the Seablock DLC might focus on underwater, or oceanic expansion for a different ending.
