(Factorio 19) Gleba Growth (Backlogging 72)
0The Gleba Stockholm Syndrome is occurring.
Rocket Silos and Agriculture Science is a go! Which means I'm nearing the end of the main Gleba challenges. There's plenty of room and time to expand Gleba, however. Getting legendary ores is far easier here by just multiplying higher quality bacteria, but I have yet to figure out a solution for higher quality Bioflux to combine with it(especially once spoilage comes into play). I suppose I would overproduce Bioflux with Quality Modules since any excess expires to spoilage, then filter out all the higher qualities, but that also seems like a hassle I don't want to bother with, and would require A LOT of Agricultural towers all getting the Yumako and Jellynuts to the factory, which I definitely did NOT plan ahead for.
Overall, lots of good progress made. I think I have a much better understanding of not just Gleba, but also ways to handle various issues that Gleba tends to inflate like latency and uneven production, and how they can be handled through things like circuitry, filters, and robots. And these solutions aren't limited to Gleba, of course. There's certainly some practical usage of reading the contents of everything inside the circuit network, or on a belt that can be used for other planets, or for making things like Sushi Belts. I wasn't having too much fun earlier in Gleba, but now I at least have an understanding of what needs to be done if I ever replay Factorio in the future(which I probably will at some point, just not for recording purposes).
