The Hidden is a multiplayer conversion for the Source Engine with an ingenious twist. A crack team of commandos are against one player armed only with a knife.
But the catch is this player is stronger and faster then an ordinary human.
As well as being completely invisible.
According to the website the Infinitium Research Intercept Squad (IRIS) are the highly trained kill-team sent to bring down this fugitive super soldier experiment Subject 617, known more commonly by his code name...The Hidden.
Although not strictly a story-based game there's a lot of potential with the simple but awesome context of military experts stalking (and being stalked by) an invisible super human killing machine. The advantage is nigh even in a clever twist: although The Hidden can see through walls and kill in one hit with his Pig Sticker, he also still makes sounds, jostles objects, and gives off a little sheen in motion. But of course even in number those playing the IRIS soldiers are likely to get freaked out by every stray shadow when their quarry can not only kill but literally EAT them.
