After the asteroid Apothis smashes into the Earth, a lone survivor of an 'arc' with nano-implants emerges years after to discover a drastically changed civilization. Mankind survived but in fortified towns, the wasteland between these patrolled by bandits, mutants, and the tyrannical Authority. After being rescued by Dan Hagar (voiced by John Goodman) the survivor must outfit their own battle ready vehicle, undertake missions for the populace to gain their trust, and finally lead an all out assault on The Authority who seek to abolish and destroy all relics of the old world...including the arc survivor themselves.
