A playthrough of Fallout 2, the second title of the Fallout game series that came out in 1998. This series will be broken up town when possible. Includes random commentary from me.

Sorry about audio quality, it appears that my mic settings got reset when this video was being recorded.
Picking up where I left off from Video 01 (https://youtu.be/D801V5U2PVY)

Having helped most people in Klamath, Narg sets off to the Toxic Caves outside of Klamath in search of Smiley, the trapper who went missing. Smiley set off on a dangerous hunt for the source of golden geckos in the area. He found it but he bit off more than he could chew and was surrounded by more golden geckos in the tunnels than he could handle. With radioactive waste spilling out across the ground, Narg found the old rubber boots he found in Trapper Town to be the perfect protection against the burning stuff in the caves that seemed to cause the geckos to mutate into golden geckos.

After fighting his way past some geckos and finding Smiley taking shelter in a room, Narg escorts the wounded trapper to the surface. Smiley's pride as a trapper meant he intended to return to Klamath on his own from there. Once back in town, Narg checks in with Ms. Buckner to receive a reward for a job done, and also gets taught how to skin geckos by Smiley in return for saving his life. Deciding to put those skills to use immediately, Narg heads to the Hunting Grounds part south of town to slay and skin the geckos before refueling the still that Whiskey Bob, a local moonshiner, had set up in a shack in the area.

With nothing else left to do in Klamath, Narg sets off for the notorious Den in search of Vic, who he believed knew the location of Vault 13 which held the GECK needed to save Arroyo.

The Den lived up to its reputation as a hive of scum and villainy filled with all sorts of unsavory characters. Narg first learns of the chem called "Jet" that all the junkies in town have been getting high on when asking around for information. The addictive chem has caused users to hallucinate and those going through withdrawal seemed extremely lethargic and downtrodden. Of course, being junkies they didn't really have a life of being high and getting enough money for another hit of the drug when the effects wear off.

Gangs were another issue in The Den and there was a rivalry between two gang leaders, namely Lara and Tyler, who vied for the cushy position of guarding goods for Metzger, the leader of the Slaver's Guild. The Chosen One needed some money and worked for Lara to depose Tyler from his position as warehouse guard. Narg discovers that the goods the gangs were guarding were actually drugs, and there were more sinister purposes behind them than the addictive drugs that were being used in the streets, but no one cared about the bigger picture as long as they got what the reward before them. Once everything was planned out and executed, Lara's gang pushed Tyler's gang out and became the new warehouse guards.

The Slaver's Guild made its home in the east side of town and seemed to be the true powerhouse in town. They held captured slaves in a fenced area behind their building, and more importantly, the trade Vic within the compound. Apparently Vic touted himself as a repairman but had been able to fix a radio for the slavers. This pissed off Metzger and so he personally had Vic enslaved and locked up in a workroom until he got the radio fixed.

Fortunately for Vic, Narg brought a radio from Vic's house in Klamath, giving Vic the parts he needed to fix the radio for Metzger. Getting the radio fixed improved Metzger's mood but he was still unwilling to just let Vic go, so the Chosen One forked over $1000 in exchange for Vic's freedom. With Vic freed, Narg now could ask him about the location of Vault 13, but it turns out Vic had no idea either. He got the flask from a trader named Ed that lives in Vault City, a city that was established by former vault dwellers that had emerged and used their own GECK many years ago.

With a new lead, the Chosen One sets off for Vault City in search of clues as to where he'd find a GECK. But before doing so, he finished some jobs in The Den, such as delivering a meal, collecting some debt, finding a lost book, and putting the ghost of a dead woman to rest.

I set the game difficult to easy and battle difficulty to wimpy just cause the goal is a playthrough, not a speed run nor to prove how good I am at this game.
