A playthrough of Fallout, the first title of the Fallout game series that came out in 1997. Includes random commentary from me.

This video picks up from where I left off after clearing Vault 15 and goes through the "Good" route of Junktown.

After discovering that Vault 15 was ruined and there was nothing else salvageable, the Vault Dweller wasted no time in setting off to his destination. While in Shady Sands, he had learned of another place inhabited by civilized people to the south called Junktown.

Upon entering Junktown, Albert is greeted by a guard asking him to holster his weapons. The guard quickly explains that they are there to keep order and the rules allow for weapons to be used in self-defense only. Starting a fight will land the person in jail or maybe even result in death.

It is quickly made known that a man by the name of Killian Darkwater is the one keeping order in Junktown. He is also the one who owns the store in the middle of town and the Vault Dweller went there to resupply for his journey. However, just as they got introduced, an assassin pulls out a gun and attempts to take Killian's life. Albert jumped into action and helped thwart the hired gun's attempt to murder Killian.

The name Gizmo came up in conversation and had been heard around town. Gizmo is a fat chair-bound man who runs a casino in the north side of town. His dealings are questionable and everyone knows he is involved with the Skulz, a local gang that causes trouble and does some of Gizmo's dirty work in exchange for caps cheated from addicted gamblers at his casino.

Killian asks a favor of the Vault Dweller and Albert obliged by agreeing to get hard evidence that Gizmo was behind the attempt on Killian's life. Kilian lights up at the sudden change in fortune and provides Albert with a bug and tape recorder, leaving it up to the Vault Dweller to have Gizmo admit on tape that he sent the assassin to kill Kilian. Albert's way with words made tricking Gizmo into confessing his crime as easy as pie and he soon returned with evidence of Gizmo's wrongdoing.

With the evidence needed to prove Gizmo's crime, Kilian invites the Vault Dweller in on the action to take Gizmo out. Albert accepts the invitation, wanting to see the fat villain meet justice up close. When it is all done, the Vault Dweller receives a reward for his part in helping to clean up Junktown and decides to hit up Skum Pitt, the local bar, to enjoy the rest of the evening.

Albert finds Tycho, a seasoned traveler among the patrons in the bar. After listening to the desert ranger lecture about his experiences of traveling the wasteland, Albert convinces Tycho to join him by mentioning that Kilian wanted assistance cleaning the town up. Gizmo was dead but the Skulz were still hanging around. With a little undercover work, the Vault Dweller cozies up to the Skulz by stealing an urn containing the ashes of the Skum Pitt's owner's wife. When the gang decides to finally get revenge for the bar owner killing one of their own, the Vault Dweller surprises them by gunning them down and saving the bar owner from imminent death.

Now that the troubles of Junktown were solved, Albert was ready to head back out into the wastelands once more.

I set the game difficult to easy and battle difficulty to wimpy just cause the goal is a playthrough, not a speed run, not a test to prove how good I am at this game.

Please note there's a lot of saving and reloading to reflect the reality of using "Steal." If there is demand for a "clean" run without resorting to stealing that causes lots of saves and reloads, I may consider re-recording the game playthrough.
