Fallout Tactics - The Playthrough: Mission 2 - Freeport (Video No.2)
A playthrough of Fallout Tactics, the third title of the Fallout game franchise that came out in 2001. While a "Fallout" game, Fallout Tactics is considered non-canon in the Fallout franchise established by the numbered titles, though some parts of the story told by the Brotherhood of Steel focused game have been integrated into the storyline as suggested in Fallout 3.
After saving the village of Brahmin Wood, the Warrior returns to Bunker Alpha to resupply and receive his next assignment. Having won the spoils of battle taken from the corpses of his enemies, the Warrior and his squad went to the quartermaster to trade them in for Brotherhood script and other supplies. Also having proved his skill after a successful first mission, the Warrior picks a few more initiates to join his squad to form a full six-person team.
The briefing did not bring good news, but resolving dangerous situations is what the Brotherhood does. Apparently the raiders refused to accept a complete defeat, and kidnapped the Elder of Brahmin Wood after the Brotherhood left. Any future dealings with Brahmin Wood depended on the safe return of the Elder, so the Warrior and his squad were to go out again and rescue the Elder on top of exterminating the raiders.
The Brotherhood wasn't operating in the dark, however, and had reliable information from a paid informant within the raiders' ranks. This gave the Warrior and his squad ample opportunities to plan a covert assault and rescue that took the raiders by surprise. When the squad found the Elder, he was infuriated by the indignity of how he was captured with a sack over his head. Fortunately it was only his pride that was hurt.
The informant didn't know everything though, and there was an additional prisoner held by the raiders that the Warrior rescued and let escape. Before dawn broke, the raider base was cleared of all hostiles and the Elder was safely recovered. Despite the success, however, General Barnaky was displeased that the Warrior had let the unknown prisoner named Ripley run off instead of taking her in for interrogation.
