A playthrough of Fallout 2, the second title of the Fallout game series that came out in 1998. This series will be broken up town when possible. Includes random commentary from me.

Playing as Narg with modified starting stats.

The village of Arroyo is home to a tribe of people descended from the Vault Dweller who saved the wasteland from The Master and his super mutant army. Despite the Vault Dweller's heroics, the Overseer of Vault 13 had him exiled because of the threat he posed to the way things worked. Vault citizens would want to leave the vault and explore the wasteland their hero had traversed successfully and returned alive from.

In his exile, the Vault Dweller traveled northwest and eventually settled down with people he met, starting his own family who all were part of the tribe that lived in Arroyo. Though the village continued to grow as and survive, it's meek existence was on the brink as the Elder spoke of crops failing, children being born sick, and so on. As a descendant of the Vault Dweller, Narg was selected to be the Chosen One of his tribe. Narg would embark on a quest to retrieve the GECK, which is a Garden of Eden Creation Kit that would allow a community to flourish in the wasteland.

After passing the challenges set in the Temple of Trials, Narg collects and puts on the Vault 13 suit his ancestor had once worn that is now a sacred relic of the Arroyo tribe. Upon returning to the village proper, Narg speaks with the Elder to be bestowed the quest of saving his village by finding the GECK. No one knew the location of Vault 13 except their ancestor, but recent bartering with a trader named Vic who exchanged a Vault 13 flask to them suggested he might know where it might be. Narg would have to travel to the nearby town of Klamath where Vic made his home.

Before leaving Arroyo, Narg helps around, such as fixing the village well, clearing the garden of invasive and dangerous mutated plants, and saving his cousin's dog.

After reaching Klamath safely, Narg finds the town rather suspicious of him. Strangers weren't exactly welcome but the Chosen One proves himself to be trustworthy. He finds a fellow tribal by the name of Sulik indentured to the local inn after causing damage in a drunken rage. Sulik had been looking for Vic as well to get information about his missing sister who had presumably been taken by slavers. Vic was no where to be found, so a frustrated Sulik turned to booze to deal with his frustration that transformed into rage against property.

Narg finds the money to negotiate for Sulik's release and they join forces. Making his mark in town, Narg helps the simple Torr with his bug-men problems and protected the brahmin, then goes to the Trapper Town part of Klamath to slay the Rat God that had been plaguing and pushing squatters out of old buildings.

While exploring the old buildings and tunnels of Trapper Town, the Chosen One finds a car part from a ruined highwayman that would come in handy in the future.

I set the game difficult to easy and battle difficulty to wimpy just cause the goal is a playthrough, not a speed run nor to prove how good I am at this game.
