After beating the tricky boss Arbaroc, we shift parties yet again, this time we have to solo two battles before we have a party of two again. We also got the useful Elementalist job.
Elementalists are a great defensive class for granting the party elemental protection. Just changing to this job gives 50% elemental resistance, and this effect can be further enhanced by wearing armour with elemental protection or using the Elementalist ability Mysterio (costs 3AP, ends on 4th turn) which blocks elements for the entire party. Very useful, and we test it out immediately, because otherwise the magic gets quite nasty here with our low HP numbers.
Everybody gets capes that protect from paralysis. This is because the main boss, Behugemoth, can paralyse us with his light-elemental magic. This however means that we are vulnerable to confusion which the first boss blatantly abuses.
I almost got owned here, but all I needed to do was use Dispensary followed by two Poison Pill'd Remedies on the boss for 100 damage each.
When Behugemoth enters, guard for 3 turns until Brandt joins the party. Now we have two characters.
I changed Brandt into an elementalist before jumping down the hole. This way he can decrease elemental damage from light attacks during the boss's second phase (when he electrifies himself).
Overall, it went pretty well - Salve-makers are very good at dealing fixed damage which is way better than the horrible physical attacks and magic at our low levels (about 10-20 damage at best).
