There may be actions that are done for practical purpose or for no particular purpose in the playthrough; the mandatory actions done in this episode are the following and they can be used as a guide (note that during this playthrough, certain actions can only be done during a short period of time and others can be postponed; note also that there is the possibility I may have missed events like dialogue replacement, sprite change, additional scenes and so on, since those are not generally considered as goals and are not documented at all):
* Obtain the Cancer (timecode: 08:21).
* Pass the mandatory battle against black mages Type A in Burmecia without absorbing EXP points (the purpose is max stats; timecode: from 09:50 to 12:09).
* Obtain a Soft (timecode: 13:25).
* Trigger a battle against Mimic and arrange to not absorb EXP points (timecode: from 13:40 to 15:40).
* Obtain a copy of Germinas Boots (in order to reach the chest, you need to walk over the plank from right to left instead of running; timecode: from 16:11 to 16:14).
* Obtain a Soft (timecode: 16:48).
* Obtain a Potion (timecode: 16:52).
* Trigger a battle against Mimic and arrange to not absorb EXP points (timecode: from 17:40 to 18:17).
* Obtain an Ether (timecode: 18:52).
* Read the description of the key item "Protection Bell" (timecode: 21:24).
* Read the description of the key item "Cancer" (timecode: 21:27).
* Obtain a Tent (timecode: 23:54).
* Obtain a Phoenix Down (timecode: 23:57).
* Trigger a battle against Mimic and arrange to not absorb EXP points (timecode: from 24:03 to 24:38).
* Obtain a Mythril Spear by triggering the scene in the armory (timecode: 25:01).
* Obtain a Lightning Staff to make Stiltzkin appear (timecode: 25:50).
* Buy Stiltzkin items (timecode: 25:57).
* Arrange to possess at least 115000 Gils for future purchases at the beginning of Disc 2 (timecode: 27:00).
* Deliver the letter from Mogki to Atla (timecode: 28:08).
* Accept to take the letter from Atla to Monev (timecode: 28:19).
* Read the description of the key item "Kupo Nut" (timecode: 28:26).
* Exchange the Kupo Nut for a random reward between Ether, Phoenix Pinion or Tent (timecode: 38:27).
