Toughest battle so far. Pretty much the first full-blown solo (technically), because Mustadio (guest for the last time) starts unequipped and stupid. The best he can do is redirect three enemy attacks at most, and maybe disable/immobilise one of the thieves. This is still better than nothing, though.

The difficulty in this battle is very much related to the damage potential of the Summoners. They do stand in such a way that Ramza can silence both of them in one turn before they get to move, but silencing the summoners is a really bad idea - all six enemies will just surround Ramza and chip at him to death.

Instead, the enemies must be forced to retreat and cease offensive actions to help each other. Poking one Summoner with a stick midcharge either to critical or to death (depending on the compatibility) is one way to achieve this. However, a luck-reliant factor is where the Summoners position themselves on the field when they cast their summons. If the road is blocked by one of the thieves, Ramza will be unable to get a midcharge hit in, and will get his sexy 70-faith ass destroyed by something like Ramuh or even Titan.

In this video I get lucky and kill both the summoners midcharge very early.

This is only the beginning, as now Ramza has to fight off four enemies who like employing hit and run tactics and who co-operate to kill him rather swiftly.

In this recording, I exploit the summoners' corpses to permit only one Thief at a time to attack Ramza. I repel the enemies away with damage, and then block their way to the corpses, getting one of the crystals, restoring myself to full HP and MP, which is very much needed.

The battle is very fun, and there's probably more pressure on what actions you choose to do (Ramza has quite a sizeable arsenal as an Oracle) rather than luck based on accuracy (though if Green Beret is stolen, you're in trouble, because that one 1 Speed point really does matter here, as it's a matter of double turning some of the enemies).

The battles only get harder from here on, though.
