Third video and things are gradually becoming more difficult. Why? I'd say because the further into the game we progress, the more apparent the lack of good equipment becomes. I actually had to revive fallen characters in some battles.

Dadaluma is the first boss our party faces whilst searching for Terra and is quite easy. In fact, my offence was so good that he didn't even have the time to summon his minions for help. I chose a party of Gau, Sabin and Edgar before I left Narshe and picked up Shadow along the way. Shadow is always very good in this challenge and preferred to Celes (and Locke and Cyan too, both of whom are worthless).

I didn't have the Bio Rage, so I went with Cat Scratch. Sabin used Aura Bolt, Edgar drilled and Shadow tossed random skeans. It was an easy battle as I could do so much damage with specials.

After that, it was time to save our precious Hentai from tentacles.

Locke is forced on here and despite his crappiness has to be accepted. He serves as a healer in the second battle against Ultros. Gau rages Bomb and Sabin does his fire-elemental blitz. It's countered by Acid Rain, but it's nothing a Hi-Potion can't heal.

I was lucky with Gau's Blaze here. If I got only regular physicals, this battle would've lasted longer and things could've got ugly (status effects et al).

MagiTek Research Facility is next, and we face Ifrit & Shiva. I decided I would concentrate on taking the latter down as she is weak both to Blaze, raged by Bomb, and Sabin's blitz. This battle ends after one of them goes down, after all.

First we must hit Ifrit enough times for him to leave the field and let Shiva in. I was not very certain whether I would rather wait for Gau to do the work or have the whole team help him out but when he one-hit killed Sabin, I decided the quicker he leaves the better. Good thing I didn't see Blaze used because I'd have been in trouble then.

When Shiva came, Sabin did his fire dance and Gau was lucky enough to pull off a Blaze, so the potentially dangerous battle was over quickly enough.

Next is Number 024 and though he can be Imped (which is what we did to avoid his elemental weakness shifts) his critical attacks hurt quite a bit (enough not to put Gau in the front row actually). I had Sabin use Aura Bolt and Gau rage Bomb while Locke & Celes did the healing.

This challenge's getting pretty fun.
