My first solo game in FF6. I decided to take this challenge in the GBA version for a change, so let's see how this goes. I picked Locke, first of all, because I think he's an awesome character, but also because he's available during most of the storyline. I plan to do other SCCs once I am done with this one.

The first part shows the battles against: Guard Leader, Magitek Armor, Vargas and TunnelArmor!

Guard Leader

This battle wasn't that hard. Took Mog's Mythril Shield off so that Locke could have decent defences (there's no shield better than MS for a long while), then put him in the front row and leveled up a bit before the boss.

He could only take out a silver lobo in a single blow when in the front row, so I put him there. I then stole a Mythril Knife, which is better than his equipped Dagger (I think I could have got it from Terra, but I forgot to take her clothes off before she was caught). The rest of the battle was spent attacking and healing.

Magitek Armor

I wasn't very well prepared for this and didn't grind for levels, meaning two lasers in a row would pretty much kill me at full health. The lasers are magical attacks and the damage of magical techs, as we know it, is not altered by row. It seemed like a reasonable idea to put Locke in the front row, since the quicker he gets rid of one of the Magitek Armors the safer it is for him to continue. I obviously didn't risk stealing anything from them: there was no time. Oh yeah, and I unequipped Edgar's Mythril Sword off Terra and gave it to Locke (his best weapon at this point).

Vargas

Locke had got two valuable relics before this battle that made him much stronger: Hermes Sandals and the Gigas Glove (I think that's the name, I'm only sure of the SNES one). It ensures he kills the minions very quickly, taking little damage. I got the Main Gauche on the way, which made Locke's evade even better, and stole a Bandana from one of the fighter guys. This was a very good headwear until I got a Green Beret during Sabin's scenario.

Tunnel Armor

This boss is disastrous and you either need to take him out as quickly as possible with attacks from the front row or powerlevel until you are able to survive his more powerful magic (Celes can't help us now!). I got an Air Knife at Returners' and stole another from this boss, quickly changing my equipment during the battle so that I can doublewield both for serious damage. He went down very fast and I was surprised there was no need to do any tedious grinding. I used the precious Genji Glove (said "no" to Ganon 3 times) here, as well as the Hermes Sandals.

Next video: Hell Rider & Kefka, Dadaluma, 2nd Ultros.
