To get Berserker DSP in Chapter 3, you need to pay off O'aka's debt by then and enter Macalania to make this mission start. The mission is a series of six battles in a row during which you cannot heal or revive your characters between battles (otherwise, you'll have to restart).

Obviously, since we need to survive with just the Minerva's Plate wearer, we have no chances of soloing with the Black Mage w/ Minerva/Wring we've got. She needs MP recovery and somebody to open the menu for her when she isn't selecting a spell. At the same time, she has no opportunity to revive the other two due to being so fragile (140 HP is death in one, at best, two enemy hits).

Fortunately for us, we can have the Pointless status inflicted on another girl by the ahriman Vertigo in the very first battle. Pointless makes all experience and AP gain void, which is exactly what we need. Pointless has a 33% chance to be used on any given Vertigo's turn on a random character, and is used only once per battle.

The problem is Vertigo's scary ally, Rhyos. This fiend of the Chimera type possesses so much strength that no Garment Grid/equipment setup protects us from him fully. Reflectable Thundaga spells, semi-powerful physicals, non-reflectable MT Aqua Breath and a monstrous non-reflectable fire-elemental magic attack.

One could assume we can kill Rhyos first with all three girls and then get Pointless inflicted but that doesn't work at all. Even if a girl is dead when a fiend is killed, she will still gain EXP if she survives the battle. This means that Rhyos must be alive and kicking when Pointless is cast and you can see very well just how powerful he is.

Rhyos is killed by 4 Blizzaga castings, so cast 3 and wait until he attacks the party. With a HP+40% accessory and the useful Adamantite, Yuna has enough HP to withstand any given attack coming from Rhyos. She needs to keep healing herself, while soloing, until Pointless is cast. Then Paine should be revived and kill Rhyos ASAP. Yuna must pass through the gate that grants her Slowproof on the Highroad Wings Garment Grid at the start of the battle so that she can heal herself in time. Adamantite makes her already very slow and we don't need this status at all.

After this, the next five battles are a joke. MT Firaga kills most of the fiends in one casting. It's a good idea to use Stash Ether on Paine when the battle is about to end. With FFX-2 mechanics, if an action targeting the party was selected but not carried out until the end of the battle, it will take effect after all the enemies are dead. This means we can essentially recover MP with Ethers without having to wait.

And thus we get the Berserker Dressphere, and I expect it to be crucial for bosses both at this point of the game and much later.
