We need a very specific setup on Aerith for this battle, including gravity damage, poison resistance, Added Effect + Hades, as well as a more summon oriented offense build here. Of course, there are three parts to this battle. All three forms of Hojo are vulnerable to holy and more importantly, vulnerable to gravity, and we're going to take advantage of that here.

1st form (Hojo + adds): This form isn't all that dangerous, and we can just use a couple of Demi 2's on Hojo and a Hades summon to finish this form, but we need Aerith to get a limit break ready before Helletic Hojo, so that's why I stalled this part out for a little bit. The adds do some damage, but they're really nothing to worry much about.

2nd form (Helletic Hojo): This form is pretty dangerous overall. We don't have death protection, so that's why I brought Enemy Skill here to cast Death Force, which will prevent the instant death effect from Gas. His physical also does around 1200 with Barrier up, and he can use that twice in a row, so we want to get Planet Protector up right away. Now we want to cast Demi 2 twice, then finish him off with a few casts of Magic Breath, since Helletic Hojo is also weak to Holy. Before we trigger the last form, we want Aerith at full HP and hopefully close to a limit break.

3rd form (Hojo-SYNTHESIS): This form is pretty deadly and we want to kill this form FAST. Again, we want Planet Protector up, as its slaps can deal almost 1500 damage with Barrier, can crit and inflict Fury. It also has some pretty deadly status attacks as well. Killing this form isn't too hard, but if we want to survive WITH the 2500 AP and 25k EXP, we have to kill this form before it counts down to 0 - if it manages to do that, it will cast Ultima, suiciding itself, and most likely taking Aerith out with it. So we want to avoid that Ultima at all costs. This is where the Quadra Magic + Typhon summon comes into play. Before casting Typhon, we want to land 3 Demi 2's to lower its HP enough so that it triggers the countdown, then unleash the summons on it. This is enough to take Hojo-SYNTHESIS down without ever seeing the deadly Ultima spell.


After this, I'll start hitting up sidequest bosses and the WEAPONS.
