This is quite a fight here with Diamond Weapon. First off, his fireball attack goes seems to go through MBarrier and does a lot of damage, which is why we equip the Touph Ring that we stole from Reno in the previous battle to halve its damage to around 800-ish, though we can also Geo Stance it to absorb it. Second of all, some of its attacks pierce through barrier (though it does have a few that don't), but we still need to try to have barriers up at all times to reduce as much damage as we can here; those foot stomp attacks ESPECIALLY hurt if they manage to crit. And third, when Diamond Weapon starts counting down, it becomes invulnerable to all attacks, so we basically have limited time to actually deal damage to it. Aerith's gonna be casting a lot of spells here, so we equip Magic Counter + Osmose to reduce her Ether usage here; we can't afford to be on the defensive for too long - especially when Diamond Weapon is vulnerable to damage - which is all of around 3 turns.

When Diamond counts down to 0 for the first time, it will become unbreakable and inflict Peerless on itself, rendering it immune to all attacks no matter what. Fortunately, Dispel can remove Peerless in this mod, so we'll have to use that to remove the Peerless status from it before we can resume attacking. Basically, we can only attack it with Comet after Diamond counts down to 0 and releases one of its charged attacks. Diamond Heist is especially pretty strong, capable of chopping Aerith's HP in half and healing Diamond Weapon a few hundred HP. Rinse and repeat until it dies. It drops the Aegis Armlet afterwards.
