Curator Armor is an optional boss fight located on the 65th floor of the Shinra Building. You can only access this fight during the return to Midgar sequence. This is a dangerous boss and should not be taken lightly, or it will destroy you. This Curator Armor is a souped up version of Carry Armor, and almost all of its attacks hit hard. Even with Barrier/MBarrier, sadness and back row, some of its attacks can do upwards of 1500 damage. Lapis Laser III especially hurts, doing over 1600 with MBarrier up. So needless to say, that we have to stay healed up as much as possible.

I decided to put more materia on that gave HP instead of magic power, and I also decided to run Magic Counter + Renew for an (almost) guaranteed full heal even when MBarrier is up. That, plus I didn't have Cure 3 at this point and I couldn't cast Cure 2 because I had also learned Regen. We also need to equip Glacial Ring to prevent the petrify effect of Pumice Laser(?), and Added Effect + Hades to prevent some other status effects it can cause. And, like Carry Armor, it can attack multiple times, and it also has Arm Grab, which is an instant Game Over should we attack or kill either of the arms, so we have to avoid that at all costs. With that said, we can fight this boss similarly to how we fought the Carry Armor; instead of Comet, we use Bolt3 at the main body, but only when it's safe to do so. Again, we have to watch Aerith's MP, because Renew is pretty expensive to cast, and we need to keep Planet Protector up and active as much as possible. And for our troubles, we get....absolutely nothing (other than the EXP, AP and gil). Joy.
