You can fight this guy during Red XIII's optional sidequest. He's located in the Cave of the Gi, which can get back into on Disc 3. You get the Limited Moon for defeating this boss.

Equipping both Elemental + Fire on armor and having the Safety Bit equipped on Aerith makes this fight less dangerous. The souls only use Fire 3 and Gi Django can also use Earth Rave, which is fire elemental. His most dangerous attack is Moondust Ray, which is exactly like vanilla Red XIII's second level 2 limit break, hitting a total of 10 times - in this case, this attack can deal 3k damage to Aerith without MBarrier up, and 2k with it. So we definetly want to either rely on Magic Counter + Restore or manually queue up a Cure 3 after one of those. He'll also cast Break sometime during the latter part of the fight, which does heavy damage and can possibly inflict petrify, which we don't want happening.

Our offense is simple. We spam Ice 3. That's it. We ignore the souls as their Fire 3 spells will help keep Aerith alive since she absorbs fire, so really all we really need to look out for is Moondust Ray and Break. I also equipped Magic Counter + Pearl for some extra damage as I believe this guy is weak to holy as well. Of course, we want to keep barriers up and active and attack with Ice 3 when Aerith is near or at full HP.
