After completing the Wraith and White Mousse hunts, we gain the ability to control the sluice gates in the Garamsythe Waterway, allowing us to access new areas.
First off, you want to have the number 3 and 10 gates activated, enabling you to reach the No. 1 South Waterway Control switch.
After that, return to the main area, deactivate the two gates you used and activate the two others, No. 4 and 11, to be able to reach the No. 1 North Waterway Control switch and don't forget to grab the Achilles Technick that is just down there!

Cúchulainn will attack you as soon as you enter the area, and an HP draining field will also take effect, making Bubble a very bad choice in this fight, as the drain is based on a percentage of your Max HP!
Aside from the HP drain, the Esper will use non-elemental attacks, such as Bio, and status ailments such as Disablega, which will spell your doom if it hits your whole party! It also likes using Invert, switching your HP and MP and often leaving you at critical HP, enabling the HP drain to finish you, make sure to use an X-Potion at that point, a spell may not be fast enough.
Additionally, some Foobars can spawn in the fight, be wary of using Gambits such as Foe: Undead = Curaja because you don't want to heal the boss in the process, do you?
