3This dungeon is great! Pretty fun run, love the music and the atmosphere. This is one of the most inspired dungeons in the game. Just is a shame we don't learn too much about its backstory since it is interesting stuff. One of my favorites despite this.
Yoshida deemed this one the hardest dungeon of Patch 2.2, it's no longer as bad anymore due to how high item levels can get now but still are some challenges. Be careful if you're ranged like me, some of the nasty things around the mold colony are like the cocoons in Thousand Maws so gotta be careful with AOEs so you don't blow those up.
8:44-Decaying Gourmand fight. This thing isn't too bad honestly. If you get linked with him try to run away, if you fail he'll eat you! Your party members will then need to attack his stomach and break you out or he'll eat you. Other than that..it's just a nightmare fuel Goobbue,scary looking but not going to cause any wipes ever. This wasn't the smoothest fight with it though.
18:57-Arioch boss fight. This one is pretty damn easy now. This guy starts with Adds. The tank kills them to get the debuff since then the boss will attack him, rinse repeat and make sure to keep the debuff up on the tank. DPS can kill the adds now and then since luckily the boss will aggro onto the player with the most stacks of the debuff but try to let the tank get the last shot when possible. It's not the end of the world if the boss is on a DPS player but as you see here it's way easier when it's on the tank.
27:16-Diabolos fight. A fight that requires planning before hand, why? The door mechanic! There are 8 doors you'll notice, at first they all have their symbols revealed but they eventually disappear. Mark the matching pairs to make it easier. Typically at the beginning one door should be opened. Then when the boss is casting Ruinous Omen wait until about half-way on the cast bar to open a matching door in order to avoid wiping! So you need to plan this out basically, talk with your party members to decide who will open doors, have the doors marked, etc. I believe our healer or the summoner handled the doors this time around.
Other than that, just avoid his attacks, the orbs, etc. The door/Ruinous issues are the only real killers in this fight as long as you have a system in place you'll be just fine. We did good on this second try.
People sometimes also decide to just burn Diabolos, we didn't do that but it can work if everyone is sufficiently geared. Lost City CAN be speedrun folks but this video wasn't an SR.
Also, I dunno why the other Summoner was kinda down on himself, he did alright and no one criticized him. I might not agree with Ifrit egi being used but it's his call to make and I know it can be easier to use than Garuda(but not as effective as her). He did at least bring out Garuda for the boss fights which is good.

Now, the seal that has held so long is softening like windfallen fruit─and what blind worms writhe behind the skin of the dead city?
OK also lore wise I do realize the white magic stone makes more sense now upon reading that the Amdaporii were White Mages. White Mages who abused their power being one of the things leading to their undoing... And oh the last boss here probably helped in eliminating them too.
