A jar containing what looked like cyanide. A secret trap door in the floor. Canned vegetables. An outdoor bathtub. These are some of the strange things we found when we stumbled upon this derelict mining camp hidden in the forest as we were making our way to an abandoned mine. The size of the compound and its buildings was impressive. It was apparent, though, this camp had been deserted for quite a long time. According to research, the camp was last active in the late 1970s. It certainly looked that way. Enjoy! Don't forget to eat your vegetables!
