Playing chapter 10 in Conquest is always a highlight of any run, and I guess this is no exception. I was afraid I'd get an unplayable roll of classes and fail to defend the zone for 11 turns, but the RNG was again generous with the classes.
RNG for this map:
Elise back in the party, Azura out (her level disadvantage gets worse)
Corrin 11/24 - Knight (again)
Felicia 7/32 - Onmyoji
Silas 14/23 - Outlaw (again)
Arthur 21/23 - Grandmaster
Effie 16/21 - Dark Mage
Elise 18/21 - Dread Fighter
Odin 10/23 - Cavalier
Niles 7/23 - Archer
Nyx 12/21 - Fighter
Mozu 21/22 - Great Lord
Once again some characters remain in the classes they were given previously. Silas has learnt both the Outlaw skills already, and levels too slowly to learn much anyway, and I guess I don't particularly care for having Natural Cover on Corrin - better skills around (though he hasn't filled the six slots yet so anything will do pretty much).
Felicia getting Onmyoji means she now has the offence that's easily reachable without C axes for Bolt Axe or anything, and her chip can make a difference now. She's also my only staffer in this map (you don't even always get one) so that's what she ends up doing for most of the chapter. I don't know if Rally Magic will ever help me in this run; might as well learn it?
Three units got DLC classes here, raising their potential in combat by a lot. Arthur had DF in the last two maps and how has Grandmaster - must be the game hinting it's time to invest a bit into sword rank. I could rely on Arthur a lot and give him a pair-up/possible tonics and just ORKO everything he's thrown at (aside from Ninja and bosses I guess). Instead, he helps doods get levels and skills. Elise got Dread Fighter and actually looks like a strong fighter with forges and a good pair-up, all thanks to DF's high base stats. Lucky with a +spd talk, she can actually double the paired-up pegs that show up during the closing turns. She catches up in level a good bit because of how helpful she is.
The last DLC luckydood is Mozu, for whom Great Lord bases + Fighter Nyx pair-up + meal + yet another lucky talk bonus summarily turn her into a killing machine with stats that look like Camilla's even though she's like lv. 4 lmao. I start babying her, and then it turns out she can just solo a portion of the map.
Other reclasses include Effie (Dark Mage; support fodder and a chance to learn Heartseeker), Niles (Archer; yet another bow user to use the ballista and takes his base bow rank with him) and Odin (Cavalier; must catch up in level and get Elbow Room for better damage in whatever reclasses he will be getting).
I have a very exact idea of what to do during the first turns of the map but naturally several turns in many things can go differently from run to run so a good deal of improvisation happens from there. To move around more freely, I break the wall myself on turn 1 before the foes do it, which also makes it easier to predict what the enemy will do. Takumi could be rushed and I imagine somebody like Arthur could take him on with a pair-up and get his Elixir, stopping the reinforcements, but I stand back and fight the new waves of enemies for self-improvement instead.
Camilla and girls arrive in their normal classes (for now), so I can use them in their usual roles. Selena pairs up with Silas so that he has the benefit of Dual Guard when soloing (mostly archers), using the ballista whenever possible. Beruka helps Mozu take down Oboro to get to the Draco village, suffering the -6 str/def seal penalty, as her stats don't matter much when she just gets fed kills (I wanted to make her learn Lunge for whatever reason). Camilla is self-sufficient and with a mag tonic will 1RKO all onichans, such as the ones that appear in the western part of the map. Later she can be used for emergency when the paired-up pegs start pushing for the seize in the green area.
The last turns go very differently from past runs, but the enemy has no chance of seizing. Mozu actually gets to lv. 10 and learns Charm, an absurdly good skill - I might have risked there a bit with her but eh, she had WTA and good avoid (as well as reliable enough raw def). Niles couldn't get to Quick Draw (too much time spent using the ballista, netting no exp), which would be extremely good, and I couldn't quite squeeze in HP+5 for Nyx either, but you can't have everything in such a fast-paced map I believe.
