This map is so much longer when you're not LTCing and, indeed, not even playing "efficiently" with the concerns that arise out of this kind of playthrough.
After the symbolic chapter 10, we not only ground Mozu up to where she can be as good as some of our better units, but also got three new girls in the party (the party is fairly female-dominated until Leo/Keaton and then Xander/Gunter join). We've got two new unpromoted females in Beruka and Selena, one bringing in axe rank and Lunge and Selena bringing, uh, what is Selena bringing again? D rank swords and Strong Riposte for heavy enemy phase counters I'm guessing? The RNG and my actions in-battle will decide what these two will turn into.
Camilla is my 2nd unit with access to promoted classes, after Felicia, but the specifics of her usage are so different. Firstly, her absolute base stats are the highest the party will get for a while, until Shura joins anyway, and this is only strengthened by the bases of promoted classes. Sadly, Camilla will probably not learn any new skills until she reaches lv. 5 because unpromoted skills can only be learnt if you naturally have access to that class set, so getting Sorc/Dark Knight can get us Dark Mage skills but that's it. There are also DLC classes that can get Camilla skills until then, and who knows, she might just get one of them sometime.
Even without fancy new skills, Camilla is a key member of the party and should remain one for good in this run, outstating everyone for a while (since people tend to not snowball much on this run).
So... what did we get from the RNG this time?
Benchwarmers: Silas, Odin, Azura (again) out
Corrin 10/24 - Cavalier
Felicia 31/32 - Witch
Arthur 11/23 - Knight
Effie 2/21 - Oni Savage
Elise 9/21 - Apothecary
Niles 4/23 - Diviner
Nyx 8/21 - Ninja
Mozu 3/22 - Spear Fighter
Camilla 9/32 - Falcon Knight
Selena 11/21 - Knight
Beruka 21/21 - Great Lord
Azura being out is terrible, as she remains the lv. 3 scrub she joined me back in chapter 9. Levelling her up will be no problem in this game with the attack stance mechanic, I'm sure (especially looking at all the Dual Striker support from girls who have been Great Lords by now), but she won't function so well whenever she's back in action.
The gifts of the RNG are generally pretty tolerable here. I have a staff user in Camilla and that's what she ends up doing for the most part since she uses combat exp poorly at this point of the game (in a couple maps, this will change). She might as well have the bosskill though. Falco Cammy nearly reaches D rank staves when the map is over, as I try to conserve Vulneraries for maps where healers are out of reach, which may well end up useful later on - using Mend for instance. Her speed is pretty overkill after a meal + lucky spd talk bonus.
The RNG roll I'm most triumphant about is, of course, Felicia getting Witch. Unlike other girls, she gets +20 added to her current promoted level, meaning that as long as we level up just thrice here in this map, we get the Warp skill. As you can imagine, having a Warper early on can be beneficial in all sorts of ways.
As for the rest of them, what can I focus on... Elbow Room is nice on Corrin who's unspectacular on this run due to being a +lck/-spd build. Having Mozu as another (4th?) wielder of Seal Defence means KOing tough Conquest Lunatic enemies shouldn't take that long, and Effie getting Oni Savage means she will be able to Seal both foe's defensive stats when she engages somebody in combat and doesn't kill them (likely, since her high speed growth hasn't gotten her anywhere just yet).
Artur and Selena getting Knight is very welcome as with the pace I'm going through the game I really appreciate having a tank who can bait all the enemies in some direction (having lance rank for Javelin to weaken them at the same time would be awesome but you can't have everything you want) and then have my scrubs all ascend a floor to rout said enemies. Artur's particular utility was tanking with high defence and leaving his attackers - various archers and ninja - without any defence since he was a Spear Fighter briefly in Mozu's Paralogue.
I get a bit confused towards the end as I try to maximise experience in the group of enemies around Hinoka since I don't want to just ORKO her with Camilla (which is so easy to do), and end up actually using Felicia as my tank against Hinoka and the Bolt Naginata sky knights. Felicia's Seal Strength is useful for once for not letting Hinoka destroy anybody.
I milk the foes for experience to the best of my abilities, and then finish Hinoka off with Camilla. Pretty ironic than Cammy is in Hinoka's promoted class when doing this.
