The next video in my Random Reclass run through Conquest Lunatic and man was this an exciting chapter to do because of all the specifics involved. Because of the party size and two unit slots being occupied by Charlotte/Benny in this map, the largest number of units so far was warming the bench, so I was at the mercy of the units I did get being usable. The classes the RNG gave me were, well... quite unusual all around let's say.
The RNG for this map:
Benched: Felicia, Silas, Odin, Azura, Laslow, Niles, Elise
Corrin 20/24 - Ballistician
Effie 20/21 - Witch
Nyx 2/21 - Oni Savage
Mozu 20/22 - Witch
Camilla 5/31 - Spear Master
Selena 8/21 - Ninja
Beruka 16/21 - Dark Mage
Peri 9/21 - Apothecary
Arthur 21/23 - Grandmaster
Kaze 9/23 - Apothecary
Felicia was benched for the first time for her longest existence in the challenge, whereas Azura got benched for the third time I think? She's still lv. 5 so getting her to catch up in level could be hard later on.
Corrin got Ballistician, and since he's stupidly slow when not in a fast class, he once got doubled by a Beastkiller cav on one of my attempts, which led to a game over. Though I never exposed him to any cavs again, I went ahead and gave him a speed tonic anyway.
Ballistician may seem like a curse (poor combat stats and mobility, skills not being applicable when using the Cannon command, levelling being pointless since tankskills can't be used outside of the class) but it's really a blessing in disguise. As long as Corrin isn't at risk of death, he can rain some really heavy damage on groups of enemies, weakening them for other units and reducing all fliers (which are pervasive here) to 1 HP. I think tank Corrin was critical for my success here.
Camilla getting Spear Master wasn't bad at all, as I could still rely on her for combat with bronze weapons. There isn't really any hope of getting Seal Speed in this map, even if I were to feed every enemy on the map to her. I don't think I really even need that skill because Camilla should be ORKOing all the foes instead of sealing their speed... I often had her tank on enemy phases because she's not doubled by anything, unlike Benny. 3rd Hoshido class for Camilla in a row fwiw.
Another sensation was both Mozu and Effie getting the Witch class. Neither of them had tome rank or an existing mag score, but the Witch bases are so high that they could function surprisingly well, routing portions of the map. Because Effie still has her high strength base, it's not totally useless with her personal skill - she gets +3 atk added to her tome attacks when dealing with low str foes like diviners. Because Mozu and Effie were both some of the better units on this run, their base stats let them function well - Mozu being really quick and Effie tanking attacks well enough for a mage.
Everybody else mostly just provided support. I got two more bow users in addition to Corrin, so enemy phases couldn't be too interesting - I mostly routed groups of enemies on PP. Grandmaster Arthur was promising (getting the class for the 2nd time) but he mostly assisted Effie who had 1-2 range, not standing out much. Some of the bad reclasses, like Dark Mage Beruka and Oni Savage Nyx, functioned mostly as pair-up bots, though I did give a level-up to each. Beruka should find Heartseeker useful later on as she hasn't got too many skills at this point. Nyx is probably the worst unit I will ever have (I'm sure Gunter will be more flexible when he joins), as most reclasses are physical, which is a role she fails at, and she has poor bulk in the magical ones. Still, who knows, Seal Resistance could make her contribute something sometime later.
I played moderately quickly here, as you do need to rush a bit before the 3 mov Ruffian Outlaw reaches the 1st village. This involves pulling Orochi with her diviner gang (and one cav on Lunatic), but I handle those without much trouble too. Still, this is kind of a slow map without flierskipping compared to what you do here in LTC with normal classes in vanilla.
Also, I used up so many Vulneraries on this map... Since staff users are given to me so rarely, I hope somebody learns Amaterasu or something of the sort somewhere down the line. I already have Felicia and Camilla as two promoted units, but soon enough they'll be joined by Leo, Gunter, Jakob, Xander and Shura. With my growth units also getting to ~lv.16 range, I can expect them to start getting Master Sealed too. I don't think early promotions are a good idea in this run at all, as you don't get any skills until lv. 5, levelling really slows down (and everyone who's fielded kinda wants the experience), but I may consider doing them when the need arises. We'll see what happens, we'll see.
