Fire Emblem Path of Radiance Hard Mode: [Pre-Challenge] Chapters 3 & 4
Still doing something of a low-turn run until more females are available (I'm actually "switching" challenges on the same map where you recruit Ilyana). The purpose of this is so that the females have all the BEXP they will need once I start that challenge, and getting the maps complete in fewer turns is just something I threw in for extra challenge.
As I believe I pointed out, while the game can be trivialised if we start soloing with Titania right now, it will be easy, mindless and boring. So not doing that.
Chapter 3
completed in 4 turns
First "defeat boss" map.
This map can be cleared on turn 3, which is the earliest Titania can get into the boss's Hand Axe range. Doing that isn't easy, as not only does Titania have to crit him (she could miss too) but she needs to get the actual Hand Axe from a bandit on the ship as well. This is easily done if Shinon lures the HA Fighter on the first turn, kills him on the next one and Titania trades with him on the same player phase.
However, if we complete the map in 3 turns, we either miss out on talking to Marcia whom we then won't be able to recruit later on, and if we do talk to her (by shoving Ike with Gatrie) then Gatrie won't be able to get the Elixir from the house in the south of the map. I believe it's still somewhat possible but the Hand Axe Fighter tends to ignore Shinon most of the time, so it's not really worth the effort.
Completing the map in 4 turns is still 1 turn lower than the requirement for the max Bonus EXP award and that's all we need.
Chapter 4
completed in 2 turns
This is another boss chapter, and getting the boss to move in close enough for boss Titania and Shinon to get in range for an attack requires Titania to clear quite a bit of room with a simple Iron Axe in her hands during first turn's enemy phase.
Shinon will get surrounded, and Gatrie will need to Shove a soldier in front of him away so that he can attack the boss.
I accidentally misplace Rhys here and two enemies attack him, luckily one misses, so it didn't matter.
There's a bit of randomness as to how the boss and his allies position themselves during their first enemy phase. Sometimes it is possible for Shinon and Titania to attack from two possible positions, which is good because we'd rather give Titania the boss kill for the future benefits. Both Ike and Rhys would have to Shove Shinon on turn 2 however (which is why Rhys didn't hide in the furthest corner).
However, on this attempt Titania missed one of her Hand Axe attacks, so I needed Shinon to crit, which he did (21% to crit every turn is unreliable but good enough). I didn't bother re-doing the map so that Titania gets the boss experience because she'll get plenty of it in the next few chapters anyway. The other units come at lower levels (besides Lethe?) so they easily level up by engaging everybody else on the battlefield. Titania struggles to get experience if she doesn't get boss kills and we do want to make good use of her for quite a while in this challenge (she never does get obsolete - on a normal Hard Mode run I still field her on the final map instead of, say, Geoffrey).
