It is just some filler stuff, like a battle to get some experience in preparation for the next battle, and exploring the Monastery and increasing support with some of the students by sharing meals. As I am playing this on Hard Mode, I don't get to pick a battle for free, instead it costs an activity point, so it can be tough to grind reliably.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

As I have explained before, Auxiliary Battles are not free if you are playing on Hard Mode, and once you change the difficulty to Normal Mode, you can't change it back.
For this video, I will explain about the Beginner Classes and their mastery abilities, for Myrmidon, where you need Sword level at D or higher, you will unlock Swap, where you can swap places with an ally. For Soldier, you need to have Lance level at D or higher, and mastering it unlocks Reposition, where you move an ally to the opposite side of the unit. Fighter has three different ranks, you have to be in D Rank for either Axe, Bow, or Brawl, and mastering Fighter unlocks Shove, where you push an ally forward one space. Monk is the magic class, you will need at least D Rank in either Faith or Reason, and mastering that unlocks Draw Back, where you can pull an ally one space.
For mastery, you get Speed +2 for Myrmidon, Defense +2 for Soldier, Strength +2 for Fighter, and Magic +2 for Monk. Out of these classes, Fighter is good for any physical attacking units, Myrmidon can be good for speedy units, Soldier is best suited for defensive units, and Monk is for units that are best with magic attacks. These classes are available at Level 5, and require 60 class XP to master those skills.
In Normal Mode, you can freely level up your units, and one obscure bit of trivia is that each unit has a special quote if they reach Level 99, which is the maximum level in this game, because in past Fire Emblem games, 20 was the maximum level, and their level would reset to 1 if you promoted them, but they would keep those stats, so in older Fire Emblem games, like Blazing Blade for the GBA, well it's just called Fire Emblem outside of Japan, as it was the first Fire Emblem game outside of Japan.
One thing I didn't go over in the previous part because explaining about Catherine took up a lot of description space, was which units had different quotes depending on the route outside of house leaders, those being Dorothea, Petra, Hilda, Lorenz, Leonie, and Felix.
Then we do different tasks like sharing meals and using Faculty Training to increase Byleth's skill ranking.
One thing I can explain about is support between units, and while units can support with every unit in their own house, I will go over which units outside of their house they can support with. I will also include units in Black Eagles and Golden Deer if you are playing those routes.

Rhea can do supports as well, but the only unit she can support with is Byleth, but as you cannot recruit her in this game or do any activities with her, you do recruit the other Knights/Church of Seiros in this game, Rhea's supports are different compared to the others, so you have to give her gifts and do Faculty Training with her to boost support with her.
