I seem to be getting some Ice-type Pokémon, and I did end up randomizing the list twice, because originally it was going to be Hoothoot, but I didn't have a Hoothoot with its Hidden Ability anywhere in my game, and I have even checked the GTS on Pokémon HOME, and they would always ask for Legendary Pokémon, so I gave up and randomized the list again, and for this week, it will be Snorunt, and I do have a Snorunt with its Hidden Ability, and in a Beast Ball, so I ended up going for Snorunt after all.
Like with my previous Surprise Trades, I aim for 31 IVs in at least 4 to 5 stats, and some Egg Moves, and these Snorunt have a Jolly Nature, this is because its female evolved form Froslass got some nice upgrades in the Isle of Armor DLC update, and most people tend to underestimate Froslass's Attack stat, it is equal to its Special Attack stat.
For the Egg Moves, I went with Icicle Crash, Block, Switcheroo, and Disable, Snorunt can get Rollout as well, I will list the parents in the Fairy and Mineral Egg Group that can learn those moves.
Block: Sudowoodo, Stonjourner
Disable: Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff, Yamask, G-Yamask, Cofagrigus, Runerigus
Icicle Crash: Vanilluxe
Rollout: Marill, Azumarill, Cufant, Copperajah
Switcheroo: Cutiefly, Ribombee

While a good selection of Egg Moves, some of which can be really tough to get as not many Pokémon in Snorunt's Egg Group can get those moves.
Then onto level up moves, Snorunt can get Ice Shard, Protect, Icy Wind, Frost Breath, Bite, Ice Fang, Hail, Headbutt, Crunch, and Blizzard. Male Snorunt can only evolve into Glalie at Level 42, and Glalie can get Freeze-Dry and Sheer Cold, while Female Snorunt need to use a Dawn Stone to evolve into Froslass, and since these Snorunt have Moody, it will turn into Cursed Body once it evolves into Froslass. For Froslass's moves, it can get Hex, Destiny Bond, Draining Kiss, Will-O-Wisp, Aurora Veil, and Shadow Ball.
Then onto TM and TR moves, for TMs, starting with Glalie, it can get Light Screen, Self-Destruct, Weather Ball, Icicle Spear, Fake Tears, Avalanche, Payback, and Bulldoze, and for TRs, it can get Ice Beam, Earthquake, Taunt, Dark Pulse, Iron Head, Gyro Ball, and Spikes, and Glalie can learn Steel Roller as a Tutor move.
Onto Froslass's TM and TR moves, it can get Ice Punch, Thunder Wave, Charm, Imprison, Fake Tears, Weather Ball, Avalanche, and a few others, and for TRs, it can get Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Spikes, Trick, Taunt, and Ally Switch.
For the competitive scene, Glalie isn't viable, the removal of Mega Evolution has hurt Glalie, because Mega Glalie was all it had going for it, and with Mega Evolution gone, there is no reason to use Glalie over any other Ice-type Pokémon, even Beartic is better than Glalie.
Then onto Froslass, and it did get some nice upgrades in this update, for Tutor Moves, it can learn Triple Axel and Poltergeist, making it viable as a Physical Attacker, other than that, Froslass's main role is to set up Spikes and use Destiny Bond to take down an opponent that finishes it off, and it does get some nice status moves like Thunder Wave and Will-O-Wisp. It is a decent Special Attacker with access to moves like Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Psychic, and Thunderbolt. Focus Sash is a popular item choice on Froslass so it can set up Spikes on the first turn, and then it can use Destiny Bond on the next turn.
In Double Battles, Froslass can use Ally Switch, which can be really helpful if its teammate has a weakness to Fighting-type moves, and there is a notable strategy in having it use Frost Breath on its partner Tauros or Krookodile to activate Anger Point after a Dynamax and have them sweep the opposing team. It can get Icy Wind, a very handy move in Double Battles, and some good moves like Ice Shard and Poltergeist for some nice damaging moves.
Cursed Body is the preferred Ability, so that way you can prevent opponents from using repeated moves, but Froslass is very frail on the defensive side, so that Ability is more preferred on Pokémon that can take hits well, like Jellicent and Eviolite Galarian Corsola.
Then for Glalie in Double Battles, there is no reason to use it, and I can't think of any moment where Mega Glalie has ever seen top-tier play in Double Battles in Gen 6 or 7, but I feel this is one of few Pokémon that has been severely hurt by the removal of Mega Evolution, alongside Mawile, Kangaskhan, Lopunny, and a few other Pokémon. While Froslass does have good Speed for an Ice-type, it is overshadowed by Weavile as a speedy attacker, and for Ice-types overall, Lapras and Galarian Darmanitan are the top-tier Ice-types in online battles, Froslass isn't that bad of a Pokémon, but it does have some tricks in battle to make it unpredictable.
