It is time for our first paralogue in the game, Lorenz receives a letter from his father, who asks him to to resolve a territorial dispute over Gloucester territory. He asks Byleth to help him out with stopping a minor lord named Acheron and his band of thieves, so they can take back Gloucester territory.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Outside of Blue Lions, Chapter 7 is where you can attempt your first paralogue, and the one I do for this video is Land of the Golden Deer, this is Lorenz's paralogue, so if you are not doing the Golden Deer route, you will need to recruit Lorenz in order to attempt this paralogue.
In this paralogue, Cyril gives Lorenz a letter, which is from his father, which tells him about a minor lord named Acheron, so he asks Lorenz to return to Gloucester territory and stop Acheron, he is our opponent for this paralogue, and there is different dialogue if you are not doing the Golden Deer route, where Lorenz talks about leaving the Golden Deer house, which makes sense as you do need to recruit Lorenz if you want to do this paralogue.
The objective is to either defeat Acheron or survive for 12 turns, and you must not let any of the enemy forces take the defended location, and there are a bunch of Alliance Soldiers, you will want to prioritize on taking out the Pegasus Knights, the eastern one can easily take the defended location, so I would try to keep some of your Archers at the starting position, some of the enemy troops move starting from Turn 4, and some from Turn 7. There are a bunch of Thieves that will head to the south area to escape, and defeating them will award you with some items, one of them has an Advanced Seal, which you can use to promote to an Advanced Class, and another has a Devil Sword, which is a high-risk high-reward weapon with a high damage output, but the unit takes 10 damage after combat.
There are some drawbridges, and you have to be on the side they are attached to in order to lower the drawbridges.
For the boss fight with Acheron, and he does start moving on Turn 7, he is a Mage with Blizzard and Fire for spells, and he has Alliance Magic Users for his Battalion, which is a Battalion you can get on the Golden Deer route, and speaking of the Golden Deer route, Claude has unique battle dialogue if you have him fight Acheron. Acheron's Battalion can use Group Lightning for the Gambit, it deals magic damage and has a target 1 radius around him. He has Poison Strike, which deals 20% after he initiates combat, and Poison inflicts the status of the same name based on Dexterity, his Defense is low, so having your physical units fight him can help, as he will likely go down in one attack from weapons. Acheron does also have special battle dialogue if he fights Lorenz.
After defeating Acheron, that is the paralogue completed, and you will earn some rewards, you get Gloucester Knights for the Battalion, which gives boosts to Strength, Magic, Hit, Protection, Resilience, and Charm, so I guess this fixes up Lorenz's low Charm stat, but it would be better on another unit, because when using Lorenz, I usually like to equip a Battalion that has Stride, because the Charm stat is what determines hit rates and damage from Gambits. You also get a Hero's Relic called Thyrsus, which is tied to the Crest of Gloucester, and it boosts the range of magic attacks by 2, and provides Aegis and Pavise to units if they have the Crest of Gloucester, and both Lorenz and Lysithea have that Crest, but most players give it to Lysithea for the extra range of magic attacks, and she has a higher Magic stat, although I find that Lorenz benefits from the effects of Pavise and Aegis. As Thyrsus is a Hero's Relic, if equipped to a unit with a Crest, they will not get the effects of Aegis and Pavise, but if a unit does not have a Crest, they will take 10 damage after initiating combat, and if you are doing New Game +, you can buy the Crest item for the Crest of Gloucester, that is the Craft Dragon Sign, and give it to a unit like Dorothea or Annette, so that way they can make good use of Thyrsus.
