I don't have plans to show all of History Mode, so I decided to show some battles you can do. In History Mode, you can select a battle and take part, and there are many kinds of battles, like Arena, Gold Rush, Timed Onslaught, Ally Rescue, Timed Attack, and many other kinds.
The main thing I wanted to show in this video is some of the unlockable characters in this game, and I went into Hero Challenge, which was added in an update to this game, and I went with the Level 80 maps to test them out.
The first character I show is Anna, she is a bow user, her best stat is Luck, so she is placed in the top three best Luck stats in the game, Caeda is also placed up there as well. Compared to other Archers, Anna has the best Luck stat out of all of them, and you might notice a skill used with some of the characters, that is Lethality, a DLC character in that game has that skill, and it activates the higher the unit's Luck stat is, I will go more into detail about it when I go over the character that has that skill. Anna's starting class is Trickster, and she can be promoted to Master Merchant when you use a Master Seal on her, and her skill is Payday, where you receive more gold, and it increased based on the Luck stat, and Anna has a very good Luck stat, making her a good unit for that skill, and it only affects gold dropped by enemies, not gold earned from completing missions, this is a good to have for the Gold Rush battles in History Mode. To unlock Anna, you have to complete an Illustration by collecting enough of Anna's Mementos, then you have to do a very difficult battle, and completing that unlocks Anna, and by the way, you can unlock female Robin and male Corrin in this game, you might see them as opponents when doing the History Mode maps, and Anna's Bow is a DLC weapon, it is in the Shadow Dragon Pack.
The next character, I am going by the order they are shown in the character select screen, is Celica, she first appeared in Fire Emblem Gaiden, and I did read somewhere that when the game was in development, she was added before it was announced that Gaiden would get a remake for the 3DS. Celica's best stat is Luck, while not as high as Anna's, it is at least good, and she has well-rounded stats, her Strength and Magic is equal, and her weapon is Lady Sword, which you can get in Together to the End, which is the map you unlock Celica and the Lady Sword on. Her skill is Lck +20, which boosts Luck by 20, and this is really good for certain skills, like Luna, Sol, Payday, and many others, and even Lethality, and Celica can put that to good use as her Luck stat isn't very high, but it is at least usable, unlike units like Frederick, Robin, and Camilla where they have a low Luck stat, and they can at least make use to that as well. Celica does have the same playstyle as Marth, and she does use magic for her Awakening move, if you want to give her Topsy-Turvy to allow her to deal with units with higher Defense, you can go with that, as her Strength and Magic are equal, her starting class is Priestess, and can be promoted to Princess with a Master Seal.
The next one is Lyn, she first appeared in Fire Emblem: Blazing Blade, or Blazing Sword, otherwise just known as Fire Emblem, as it was the first Fire Emblem game to be released outside of Japan. Lyn's best stat is Speed, and she has good Skill and Luck for stats as well, and she does have a unique playstyle which is all about speedy sword attacks, her starting class is Lord, and she can be promoted to Blade Lord. Her weapon is Sol Katti, and she is unlocked in Noble Lady of Caelin. Lyn's skill is Pass, which prevents enemy attacks from interrupting movement, it is like Armored Blow, but it prevents flinching while moving, not the best skill, but can good once you get better skills on her. Lyn does have a fast playstyle, but if you give her Astra, she can attack even faster, so she's one of the best units to give Astra to, but then again Astra is the best skill in the game, and any unit can put that to great use.
