I showcase the DLC characters and maps for this video, the first one is the Fire Emblem Fates Pack, which comes with three characters, new costumes for Camilla, Takumi, and Corrin, new History Mode maps, and you can get new weapons for your units, one of them is the Bond Charm, which increases support between units easier, and if you are wondering if I will be showing off all the support conversations in the game, I will not, you can just search up YouTube to find support conversations in this game, and some of them do reference various characters from certain Fire Emblem games.
The maps you unlock for purchasing the Fates Pack are Grief, Land of Gods, and Cold Reception, and I then show the characters you get through that, the first one is Azura, she is the only one out of the three that was not present in the game before the updates. Her starting class is Songstress, and can be promoted to Diva, she is a lance user and is the only character to use water-based attacks, her Japanese name is Aqua, which makes sense if she is based around water, and she has a unique gauge where she can fill Warrior and Awakening gauges of any nearby allies, and it adds support points, making Azura one unit that can easily fill support points for other units. Her weapon is the Blessed Lance, which deals bonus damage against monsters, her best stats are Speed and Luck, while her Strength isn't that high, she is more of a support unit. Azura's skill is Amaterasu, which slowly heals the partner while in Pair Up, while Azura is a good support unit, she can be useful when paired up with other units, and she can put to use Dracoshield and Solidarity, which are skills that work around Pair Up.
Next is Oboro, it's good the DLC update gave us two lance users that can fight on the ground, Oboro's best stat is Speed, she has good HP, Skill, and Defense, making her good against units that use weapons, like swords. Her weapon is Oboro's Spear, her starting class is Spear Fighter can be promoted to Spear Master. She does have the highest Strength out of all the lance users in this game, which is at least good for maps that only allow the player to use lance users. Her skill is Counter, which sometimes makes blocking attacks emit shockwaves, while it is kind of useful, there are a lot of better skills to go with, and she does have a unique playstyle for being one of the first lance users that is not a flying unit or weak to bows, which is one thing that I like about the DLC update.
Then we have Niles, we have four bow users and they have the exact same moveset, well outside of Warrior and Awakening special moves, his starting class is Outlaw, and can be promoted to Adventurer. Niles's Bow is his weapon, and his best stats are Speed and Resistance, this does make Niles good against magic users, but compared to other bow users, Sakura has better Resistance, at least Niles has higher Strength. Niles is the unit that comes with Lethality, it has a chance of raising power of critical hits and combos, and it increases with Luck, it deals 400% bonus damage when it activates, making this one of the best skills to have on units that have a high Luck stat, like Caeda and Anna, however, Niles has a very low Luck stat, which does kind of balance things out when it comes to who the skill is from, but it is very overpowered when combined with Lck +20, or if a unit already has a very high Luck stat.
