Here are some Surprise Trades for this week, and I will be trading Magby. I breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, but as Magby itself cannot breed, I have to evolve it into Magmar in order to breed for Magby, and the Nature I went with is Modest, while the Magby line are decent Mixed Attackers, it has a higher Special Attack stat when it is fully evolved.
You might notice that I cut out a trade in this video, I got a Bulbasaur that had a vulgar-sounding nickname, and I released it because I don't like it when players send me Pokémon with nicknames that are not family friendly.
As with the Ability, some have the Hidden Ability of Vital Spirit, while some have Flame Body, and while Flame Body is a nice Ability to have for hatching Eggs, I do find Vital Spirit to be good for online battles. The Egg Moves I went with were Dynamic Punch, Focus Punch, Cross Chop, and Mach Punch, it does get Belch as well, but I didn't go with that, I will list which parents in the Human-Like Egg Group that can learn those moves.
Belch: Croagunk, Toxicroak, Toxtricity
Cross Chop: Machop, Machoke, Machamp
Dynamic Punch: Machop, Machoke, Machamp, Timburr, Gurdurr, Conkeldurr
Focus Punch: Hitmonchan, Timburr, Gurdurr, Conkeldurr
Mach Punch: Hitmonchan

As with Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Magby does not get Focus Punch through breeding, as it is a TM move in that game, it does get Flare Blitz, Thunder Punch, Belly Drum, Mega Punch, Screech, Focus Energy, and Power Swap, and out of those moves, I would recommend Flare Blitz, Thunder Punch, Mach Punch, and Belly Drum, it learns Flare Blitz from Infernape, it gets Thunder Punch from the Electabuzz line, and it learns Belly Drum from the Makuhita line.
The good thing about Magby is that it evolves into Magmar through level up as opposed to Friendship like most other Baby Pokémon, so use an EXP Candy L to get it to that level, and it does require being traded while holding a Magmarizer to get Magmortar. For moves, it can learn Smog, Leer, Ember, Smokescreen, Clear Smog, Flame Wheel, Confuse Ray, Scary Face, Fire Punch, Lava Plume, Low Kick, Flamethrower, Sunny Day, and Fire Blast, and when evolved, it can learn Hyper Beam.
Next are TMs and TRs, I will be going over what Magmortar can learn, it can get Thunder Punch, Mega Kick, Giga Impact, Solar Beam, Fire Spin, Screech, Rock Slide, Will-O-Wisp, Brick Break, Weather Ball, Rock Tomb, Power Swap, Low Sweep, Bulldoze, Mystical Fire, and Stomping Tantrum, and for TRs, it can learn Thunderbolt, Psychic, Earthquake, Focus Energy, Heat Wave, Taunt, Overheat, Flare Blitz, and Focus Blast, and it can learn Burning Jealousy and Scorching Sands for Tutor Moves. In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, it can learn Focus Punch, Torment, and Strength for some decent TM moves.
While Magmortar does have a good Special Attack stat, it faces competition with many other Fire-type Pokémon, as its Speed stat is kind of average. Its main set is making use of its Special Attack stat with moves like Fire Blast, or Flamethrower if you prefer accuracy, Thunderbolt, Psychic, and Focus Blast for possible moves, or you can go with Solar Beam with a Power Herb set. Magmortar can use Clear Smog, which when Dynamaxed, it can use Max Ooze to boost its Special Attack, and it can set up the sun with Max Flare, so that way it can use Solar Beam without having to use up a turn to charge up, Scorching Sands is a good coverage option, I would say it's better than Focus Blast for reliable accuracy and the chance of burning the target.
In Double Battles, not an easy Pokémon to fit onto your team over Charizard, which sees a lot of use in Double Battles, but the nice thing is Magmortar can learn Thunderbolt, its main Fire-type move is Heat Wave, and for a coverage move, it can have either Psychic or Scorching Sands, while Protect is on the 4th slot, but aside from that, it is outclassed by better Fire-types.
If you want to know about Magmortar in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, it is one of the many Fire-types that is decent, but it faces competition with better Fire-types like Infernape, Heatran, and many others, and it cannot have Scorching Sands in that game, but at least it can get Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, and Psychic for possible moves.
I do have a history of using Magmortar back in Pokémon Battle Revolution, because I remember you can get one through a special Mystery Gift code in that game, and it came with Flamethrower, Psychic, Solar Beam, and Hyper Beam, although you can swap out Hyper Beam for Thunderbolt to have a better move on it, I did like how you were able to get a Magmortar from Pokémon Battle Revolution that came with a good moveset, specially if you replace Hyper Beam with Thunderbolt.
